"Tired Eyes"

"TIRED EYES”
Written by: Matt Krusky

VERSE 1:

If I walked right up and talked to you, I wonder how you’d see me.
Just maybe I’d bring something new, and after all you’d need me. To
walk you home and make you laugh, and soon enough you’d know. Were not so different after all, just take the chance, we’ll take it slow.

CHORUS:

Oh but no, that’s alright. So I won’t go home with you tonight. My age is like a false disguise, and you can’t see beyond these tired eyes.

Verse 2:

I watch you from a distance with a curiosity. I see
you’ve made your choice for now the man in front of me. But I’ve heard
his buddy talking how he’s playing you for sure, and saying that he’s
got your number but going home with her.

Bridge:
Life is like a game, you learn it well, the more you play and I can see
your empty now.

CHORUS:

Oh but no, that’s okay, and I don’t need you anyway. I’ve played
this game some years before, I’m going home to be with, the one who
see’s beyond these tired eyes, these tired eyes, these tired
eyes.
